Help with Bridesmaid dress colors…?

My wedding colors are cream, bronze, mauve and chocolate with a bit of champagne/latte colored accents. The groom and groomsman are wearing black tuxedos with regular black ties.

We are going for a semi formal, fantasy type wedding.

Any advice of what color bridesmaid dresses we should consider? I have looked at the colors of the wedding but don’t think they will flatter my bridesmaids (they are an array of sizes and colors). I have seen weddings that have their bridesmaids in a totally different color than the reception/ceremony colors, but it didn’t clash.

I would appreciate any color ideas that won’t clash with the colors we have already.

Helpful advice:
mauve is a darker, dusty pink color.
some bridesmaid’s are of dark skin tone, so chocolate won’t really flatter.
champagne/light gold may be to light for my fair skinned bridesmaid’s.

would black be too drastic for the girls to wear, even though the men are wearing black tuxes with black ties?

My bridesmaids all wore the Latte color from David’s Bridal, and it looked wonderful with everyone’s skin tones. Any shimmery brown should still blend in with your color scheme, and it will make all of your bridemaids’ skin glow. :) The flowers will also really pop against the dresses, especially if they are cream and mauve.

I don’t see any reason why the couldn’t wear black, and then you could have them wear any color you want as a sash/belt around their waists. As long as the color isn’t next to their faces, they shouldn’t be washed out.
